Kip Doyle has more than thirty years total experience in the injection molding industry working with a wide variety of machines, materials and processes. He has detailed knowledge of virtually all aspects of the injection molding industry. He has a great deal of experience in specialized processes including insert molding, multi-component molding, micro-cellular technology, micro/nano-molding, cavity pressure technology, powder injection molding (PIM/MIM/CIM) and LSR. He also has extensive familiarity with tooling and secondary processes. He has proven expertise in all aspect of injection molding with a specific focus on Scientific Molding techniques.Kip started his career in injection molding in 1977 as a Material Handler at a molding plant in Troy, MI. and quickly moved up the ranks spending the next twenty one years working as a Shift Supervisor, Process Engineer, Process Engineering Manager and Molding Manager working for such recognizable companies as Sheller Globe (later purchased by United Technologies Automotive), Nippondenso (Denso) and Eaton Corporation. During this time, Kip had the opportunity to work with a variety of machines, materials and processes in a “real world” production environment.
Starting in 1998, Kip spent eight years working for several injection molding machinery suppliers including Arburg, Demag and Battenfeld. His now growing responsibilities included sales management, project/process management and providing technical training for customers. He was also an integral part of the teams responsible for developing new controllers for the molding machines.
Having worked very closely with RJG Incorporated for more than twelve years, Kip went to work for them as a direct employee in 2006. The first year was spent gaining valuable experience as a Project Manager responsible for the development of new cavity pressure technology. He then moved on to pioneer the “dual role” position, acting both as a Regional Manager and a Trainer/Consultant. As an RJG Certified Trainer (Master Molder level III), Kip was responsible for providing paid consulting and training services as required by customers.
In February of 2009, Kip left RJG and started his own company, POV Plastic Solutions. The focus for the company is summarized in the following tagline: “Molding Solutions from the Plastic’s Point of View”. POV offers services and products that help molders optimize their process, reduce costs and improve efficiency.
Kip resides in Battle Creek, Michigan with his wife of 25+ years as well as their miniature pincher. They are the proud parents of their daughter, a recent college graduate and newlywed. They are also proud of the recent arrival of their first grandchild.
